Cremation is an ancient rite of body disposition and has been practiced in almost all major cultures throughout the world. Remains are then placed in a container and often placed in a burial plot, scattered in nature or retained by the family.
From the receipt of a body at the crematory until the remains are placed in the urn, the Fairmount tradition requires that the individual's remains be treated with care and respect. From identification through memorialization, Fairmount handles the cremation process with dignity.
