Personalization

You’ve built your life with good decisions. Insure your next chapter meets your expectations as well.

Some cultures treat the loss of a loved one as an opportunity to celebrate life with a raucous party.

Others see the end of life as an opportunity to find deeper meaning spiritually.

Some want a quiet coda with reflection and the simplest of arrangements.

Many people want to be remembered as they were when they were happiest. A few want the life celebration to have beer and pizza with bowling afterwards!

Whatever your desire, Fairmount can see they are carried out your way.

For the lady who loves her diamonds, Tiffany makes a casket!

Every day, in every way, we create meaningful experiences by customizing funerals to fit the lives of those who lived them.

Our concierge service can help with all the arrangements and coordinate the special touch for a unique and personal funeral experience.

Don’t think you can have a service without a burial? Many times, we’ll create lasting memories for family and friends with cremation or sending the body to be buried in another town, state or country.

A Celebration of life helps

By holding a rite of remembrance, survivors achieve greater appreciation for those who have gone. Studies have shown conclusively, families recover better and more quickly when a service is incorporated than when it is not.

Here is a fun exercise to try. It’ll take five minutes and you might be surprised by what you find.

Name

What’s your Favorite Song? What does it say about you? How would playing it at your service make your loved ones feel? *

Have you lived your life by a credo or in partnership with a strong faith? In what ways has that influenced you? If it were to be incorporated into your funeral service, how would you like it done? How would it make you feel if you could watch it? What do you want people to take away from that aspect of you?*

Think for a moment on how you would like people to experience your passing. ( Some people request a big party to be thrown full of joyful tears and lots of wine and spirits while others insist upon a religious ceremony.) Would it be more appropriate to have a personalized service at night, or at sunrise? How about dress code? If you’re a blue collar person, would it be right to have people in suits or would you rather see them in jeans and t-shirts?*

If you could fill a table with your personal items, what would be included and what left out? Would the table contain notable achievements, memorabilia, or treasured photos? Write down at least ten items to include on your imaginary table. (Don’t filter the response here too much, just go with your instincts.) *

What do these answers say about you? *

Which symbolizes you more effectively, your high-school photo or a recent picture? Would you be the only person in the photo or would you rather have loved ones in it? It is your choice. *
