Denver's original crematory performed over 5000 cremations in its three decades of serving Colorado families. In 1941 the operations were moved to it's current location , on the grounds of Fairmount Cemetery.
Colorado is the only state in the nation that does not regulate the funeral and cremation industry. Subsequently you will see many "store" front operations in the metro area. Since it's inception at the Denver Crematory, Fairmount has performed over 40,000 cremations .
